The Nikita outerwear collection for next winter features some really nice prints with bright watercolours and washed out denim. Nikita as a company is evolving and expanding their street wear and active wear collections but they haven’t forgotten their snow roots and are still creating high spec outerwear for us snowboarders. Nikita founder Heida has her own signature line which includes this bright and colourful watercolour print. When I spoke to Heida about the collection she told me that she likes to create pieces that are fun to wear on the mountain and that give you an opportunity to experiment with styles that you might not be comfortable wearing in the street.
Heida’s jacket is the ‘Sif’ jacket and if you don’t like the bright version you can get the same print in a washed out black colour (like the pants in the photo above) My favourite jacket from the collection is the Freyja jacket which you can get in two styles (slub weave & jacquard)
This jacket is a similar fit to the current season Brave Jacket that I have been wearing which I find is the perfect length. It is long enough to cover your bum yet it doesn’t feel huge and baggy when you wear it. The faux fur around the hood can be removed if you don’t like and it has a removable snow skirt too for those pow days when you want to stay dry.
These Nott pants go really well with Heida’s Sif jacket and you can get them in this washed out denim print or the jet black colour.
Next week I will be posting about the Nikita street wear collection so keep an eye out for that! 🙂
