The past few weeks have been extremely busy! Finishing work and swapping caravans for our #BaileySnowSeason project then making the journey across Europe to Austria for the Winter season. Here are some pictures to sum up my month so far, when we arrived there was some nice fresh snow but it hasn’t really snowed since then so fingers crossed Santa will bring us some pow.
The journey was good, we had our friends Jason & Billy following us out as they are also pitching their caravan in Austria this Winter. We stopped near Munich for a few hours sleep and woke up to snow! In total the trip took us about 18 hours of driving time, but the ferry crossing and service station stops broke it up a bit.
Fresh snow had fallen for our first day riding, we went to Kaltenbach as Mayrhofen wasn’t open then. The snow conditions were good and we enjoyed a few days of cruising around the pistes and even found a fun hip someone had built next to the halfpipe.
Penken soon built some jumps in the park so after riding the baby park to warm up the lads got their legs back on the advance line. Fast forward a week or so and the park team have built some fun rail lines.
With Christmas fast approaching we decided to visit a local Christmas market in a town called Rattenberg. The town is known for it’s glassmaking and you can buy really cute handmade glass baubles and candle holders. The hot chocolate was amazing, it was basically warm chocolate milkshake, soooo sweet!
We are all set for Christmas now in the caravan, just waiting for the snow to arrive in the valley! I hope you all have a lovely Christmas and all the best for the New Year! 🙂 xx
