There are lots of music festivals happening all over Europe this winter which is great. Combining your love of Music with Snowboarding seems like the perfect match but it’s not for everyone – That’s where Altitude Festival comes in. With a huge lineup this Winter you can spend your days on the slopes and your evenings watching some of the worlds best comedians perform in a cosy and relaxed atmosphere. Personally I’m not really into the whole music festival/party scene so a chilled out comedy festival really appeals to me. I won’t be absolutely wasted and forget what I paid to go see the night before too which is a bonus!
John Bishop is back again this year and I’m really looking forward to seeing him perform live. Sean Lock who is also a favourite of mine on 8 out of 10 cats does countdown, will have you in stitches all night with his quick wit. Taking place from the 11th-15th of January 2016 in Mayrhofen Austria this comedy festival is not one to miss.
The festival is split into 3 different events, The apres ski is where the first performances of the evening will take place. Starting at 5.00pm it gives you plenty of time to get changed out of your gear and head out to get a good seat. The Gala Show starts at 7.30pm and this is where you will catch the headline acts like Jim Jefferies , Marcus Brigstocke, Sean Lock & John Bishop. For those of you that want to get the most out of your tickets you can stay for the Late Show from 11.30pm onwards. Take a look at the lineup here. You can buy a full week pass or just choose a night with your favourite act and visit that. If you are already in town and not visiting the festival as part of a Neilson holiday then you can purchase tickets on ticket line. I will be writing a post about the event afterwards so if your keen to know what it’s like then pop back later to find out.
